Jackie was raised in South Africa and Holland and settled in Toronto with her family after high school. After graduating from OCAD she started making her colorful illustrations for many publications and has been doing so for over 20 years. Going digital almost 10 years ago opened up new doors and her style has evolved in what she calls ” Urbane Whimsy” In the last couple of years she has started exploring the world of pattern and has started a line of ballet and opera cards. The work that is currently listed under NEW is a new direction and a new look. Using collage elements combined with drawing gives the work more depth which has led to a more soulful style . She is looking forward to exploring some more serious themes but is still very much in love with the world of Hello Kitty!
